First day back

Today’s class was nice. We presented our app ideas to the class while Imani filmed us, but we did it outside. This didn’t seem to pose too many problems until it was my turn to present. I had to start over many times because of the wind being loud and blowing my hair in my face, and people making background noises. Eventually I was able to finish my presentation, and Mr. Marco told me that there was an app similar to mine on the android market, going for $50. This is why I wish our apps didn’t have to be free.

Blogging hiatus

Sorry about the recent gap in blogs. I’ve been unusually exhausted lately and have been falling asleep quite early. In class related news, on Tuesday we brought back out the mobile app design notepad things to help create visuals for our apps. We drew the screens that our apps would have on them and that was pretty much it. Mine was finished kind of quickly because my app doesn’t need alot of screens. Also our team was the first to openly have a student use the “Figure 8” gesture in their app. Today in class Ms. Leshell wasn’t there so we pretty much just worked on our SDLC documents

Chilling

I talked to Ms.Leshell and we might come up with another app for Black veterans perspectives for this Summer. It for people who fought for are country and worked so hard so us Americans can still have a place to live and be alive. But also we talked about war, I talked to my grandfather about the 50 wars going on he said he can only find 41. So we going have to keep researching for the other 9 or if there really is 41 so we can get the app out the way. I had problems with my Map Tour so I couldn’t really go back to my Sneak’s on Feet’s app but still making pages and coming up with ideas

Progress!!!!

Today in class we went over the SDLC again, but with a few additions to the life cycle, such as purpose and prototype. In the middle of Ms. Leshell’s explanation, Mr. Marco had returned with the pizza, and for the first time ever, we didn’t immediately stop to get to the food. Ms. Leshell just continued explaining the life cycle, with Mr. Marco eating chicken in the background, just making the students hungrier. Eventually Ms. Leshell finished the life cycle and we got to eat. Towards the end of class I went back to working on my app. I ended up staying an hour late just coding. I can’t say much but I finished programming the password feature on the app and part of the way into the next feature. I might be able to make multiple apps before the program is over.
