Today we went over previous assignments and learned about gimp. We went over the basics of gimp, some saving tips, and layers. We learned that we should save the version of a picture with all of the layers for easier editing. When saving the final picture for use, we could flatten the layers to make it into one layer.
The whole layers concept in computer drawing programs is cool. Each layer in a computer drawing program can be manipulated. So you could put a sun on one layer and clouds on another layer. This makes out easier to edit specific parts as an image without altering the other layers such as the main background layer.
Next class, here we come!
